COMMITTEE REPORTS

STEWARDSHIP:

PROPERTY:

WORSHIP & MUSIC:

EVANGELISM:

CHRISTIAN ED:  August fun night as above.  Rally Day will probably be on September 12.

MEMORIALS: Memorial and worship committee got together to research prices and additional
colors to complete our Paraments.   It was decided that they would like to proceed with
purchasing purple paraments @ an approximate cost of $900.  (Will wait on the red ones at this
time).   Perhaps someone else would like to donate towards them.  Suggested that some of the
(Cary) memorial money be used to purchase paint to paint the sanctuary.  Need to have lath and
plaster repaired first.  The carpet is to be installed Friday.  Nick Herzog agreed to fix the north
stairwell.  Suggestion that it would be nice if there was central air in the sanctuary.

SOCIAL CONCERNS:

EVANGELISM:  Need to organize a new member Sunday.

CEMETERY:  Several concerns that there have been numerous items have been disappearing
from gravestones.

VIKING MANOR:

OLD BUSINESS:  Advertising for janitorial position.  Motion made (Pete/Ron) to appoint Jim,
Bob, and Diane to interview prospective applicants for the position.

NEW BUSINESS: Memorial committee presents ideas to the council and the council makes the
final decisions.  That is the purpose of such committees.  Discussion regarding CORD
scholarships.  Deb will contact Carol Lockhart.  Those going to Concordia are Troy Amundson,
Ingrid Anderson, Chase Ashmore, and Alissa Stall.  Carol will get information and any further
names to Sarah West.
